Use Kubuntu.
Yes, you can install KDE on normal Ubuntu, but then you have 2 desktop
environments installed -- much more complex, a waste of space, a
larger attack area for vulnerabilities, much more software to be
updated every single system update, etc.
In general, unless you want 2 desktops at once, don't do it. Install
Kubuntu which is Ubuntu with KDE _instead of_ Unity.
