I map CapsLock to Super, because I use an old IBM Model M keyboard
from about 1986 and it doesn't have a Super key.

The thing is, Compose isn't a meta key. You don't press it at the same
time as something else, like you do with Shift, Ctrl, Alt etc. You
press Compose /then/ 2 characters. So my RAlt (which is AltGr on UK
keyboards too) is /both/ Compose (when hit on its own) _and_ normal
Alt when pressed with, e.g., F for the File menu or whatever.
