Upgrade 12.04 to 14.04 problems

I am trying to upgrade my desktop.
First it did not find any new upgrades.
So I edited

|/etc/update-manager/release-upgrades and changed |

|Prompt=never to Prompt-normal now when I do upgrade I get: ||jmcgee at jmcgee-desktop:/etc/cups/ppd$ sudo nano 
jmcgee at jmcgee-desktop:/etc/cups/ppd$ do-release-upgrade -d Checking for
