 Hi Chaps,

So, I am going ahead with this (taken from Petters' mail
 message) :

 ------------------------------------------------------------
 1. 'dpkg -l | grep grub'
This lists all the installed grub packages
 2. 'apt-get purge <list of packages from above step>'
 This removes them
 3. 'apt-mark hold <list of removed packages>'
This prevents them from being installed again
 ------------------------------------------------------------

 Makes sense ?

 TIA,

 s.

Chaps ,

Thank you all for your feedback.
I can't say "thank you" enough times.
Thanks to Oli , Petter , Ralph and Tom.

I'll try it and let you know of my findings.

THANK YOU,

spyros
