 Spyros, forget all my doubts,
 just purge the grub packages as described
 by
 Petter and Oli. The issues I might have experienced likely
 were not
 related to upgrades, most likely I
 made an user error, installed a new
 kernel
 with "install", but without
 "--no-install-recommends".
