Well, I have had Ubuntu 14.04 for quite a while now and I guess I got used
to its shortcomings, but when I had a (hardware) crash recently and had to
temporarily pick up my old Ubuntu 12.04 laptop again, I was kind of
surprised how good it was. Everything worked better, except the Compiz
cube, and my old favourite features were back, like those in Nautilus etc.
Ubuntu 10.10 is still my favourite, though (extept that it's not supported
any more and the software is very old and, in some cases, unusable…).
