Have you tried another mouse? Perhaps it has failed.  Also try logging on as
a different user, or guest, to see whether it is user settings.

Once again, Thanks for the help.

As it turns out, it was the little furry rodent.  All it took, rather than a
moouse trap, was a new mouse.
