Nautilus closes instead of minimizing?

The occupy a litlle RAM, but otherwise no. 

If you set up bookmarks to the 30 or 40 places you find useful, you can
get to them whether they are open or not.

Also, be aware that you can open a directory in Nautilus from the
command line ("nautilus /home/rikona/Downloads" or "nautilus
~/Downloads") which means you could open all your useful places
automatically when you log in.

BTW, there is a quicker way to shut down Nautilus if you want to get
rid of a lot of windows quickly: In a terminal window, run "nautilus
-q". Then start Nautilus again via the launcher.
