Installation and boot from UEFI on an Acer

Hello,

I just received my new Laptop without any OS on it, but I was surprised
to see, there was a Windows Boot Partition...
I deleted everything on the HDD, and decided to install Ubuntu 16.04 as
I am used to doing it. I had problem to make my USB key boot with UEFI,
but then managed it.
The issue : after the installation with UEFI, I got a disk failure (no
boot). I went on the bios page and changed from UEFI to "Legacy", and it
worked after restart.
My question : did I install everything well and is my installation
booting with UEFI or Bios ?
