Your reply doesn't clarify -- well, not for me, anyway -- what exactly
you are trying to do that isn't working.
Is it printing?

In brief:
* set up the VM with bridged networking, so it can see the host on the
same network
* test with Ping both ways
* on the host OS, share the printer with the network
* on the guest OS, connect to the network printer
With storage:
* as Ralf says, share it as a folder
* OR dedicate the device to the VM...
