Hi,

not the kernel will be rebuild, just the vbox host related modules
vboxdrv.ko, vboxnetadp.ko, vboxnetflt.ko and vboxpci.ko will be
rebuild, to fit to the kernel. This usually is required, if either the
kernel version, or the vbox version changes. It's possible that it
can't be done for some combinations of kernel version and vbox version,
but most likely it works for relatively current kernel version and
relatively current vbox version combinations.
