It says inactive, on all of my computers.
"Just a possibility" of what? The scanner ceasing to work on my desktop
in the first place? Or intruders taking advantage of the potential
network insecurity of SANE? I did see the warnings in the documentation
about potential insecurities in SANE but my router only forwards ports
for ssh, html and imaps. Nothing else should be able to get in.
I guess I should learn about configuring a firewall especially for when
Virgin Media starts giving us IPv6 but that probably gives me a couple
of years or more yet...
