Well, ... yes. But to gmail, its probably not open for discussion, and is 
just one of the reasons I bailed out of gmail for anything about 2 years 
back.  Your own ISP probably has a mail server, which is where I moved 
everything when my old tv station was sold by the original owners 
daughter after he passed about 2 years back.  Up to then I had a 
lifetime account there, on a qmail based server I helped bring online in 
about 1999. qmail seemed to be ok, but tieing in some decent spam 
filters to qmail is quite an exercise in origami. :(  OTOH, now I only 
get spam the mail servers accept.
