Hi all.
I seem to have a major problem with the newest LTS version. I can boot to
the log in screen fine and enter my password, but after that icons and the
rest of the interface are either taking a long time to load or it is sort
of frozen. The mouse pointer moves fine but nothing else is loading.
The OS is installed on an SSD so it shouldn't take forever to load, right?
I had logged out of Ubuntu because I didn't want to use the GUI update
manager and I didn't know how to shut down the update process (it was
downloading updates when I logged out). So yeah, did I just break my
Ubuntu install or can this be fixed?
Jared
