Xenial: Laptop does not suspend on lid close

Hi,

I have two laptops running Xenial fresh install. When closing the laptop lid, the first suspends while the latter doesn't.

Running "journalctl -b -f -u systemd-logind" shows that the lid close is recognized on both machines:

HP EliteBook 2170p
Apr 26 14:34:21 titanium systemd-logind[765]: Lid closed.
Apr 26 14:34:21 titanium systemd-logind[765]: Suspending...
Apr 26 14:34:28 titanium systemd-logind[765]: Lid opened.
Apr 26 14:34:28 titanium systemd-logind[765]: Operation 'sleep' finished.

HP EliteBook 840 G3
Apr 26 14:35:48 belladonna systemd-logind[9764]: Lid closed.
Apr 26 14:35:57 belladonna systemd-logind[9764]: Lid opened.

Running "systemctl suspend" works just fine. Also, when running the Trusty live-cd, the 840 *does* suspend on lid close.

FWIW, "systemd-inhibit --list" shows just unity-settings-daemon, compiz and NetworkManager on both machines.

Any help on how to debug this further?

Thanks,
Mikko
