I am at the root prompt on the effected partition so I am doing this
from memory.

I went to the advanced recovery options and choose to check the file
system. It gave me a msg that it was going to mount everyhthing rw. I
said ok and it returned I went to root.

There I did apt-get install nvidia-304. Answered the questions yes and
got a msg: about failing to fetch a bunch of nvidia stuff and ending
"could not resolve security.ubuntu.com". Unable to fetch some archives,
maybe run apt-get update or try with --fix-missing.

I tried both of those suggestions but still get the message about being
unable to resolve security.ubuntu.com.

Thanks for your help, Jim
