Yes. And if you are transferring very large files, you might like to
read the man page on the "-P", "--partial" and "--partial-dir" options,
which allows recovery midway through partially transferred files.

I suggest you look for every occurrence of the word "partial" in the
man page, because there are quite a lot of hints and gotchas around
saving partial transfers, but if you transfer really big files this can
be a life-saver.
