Disconnect that drive and start thinking about backup solutions.

Then, please run (and post the results of):

sudo smartctl -t short /dev/sda

If that test passes, restart the system and hold down the shift key
when Ubuntu starts to load. Choose "Memory test (memtest86+)" and let
it run until the memory test indicates at the bottom of the screen
"Pass complete, no errors". This might take a while.

Journaled filesystems, especially ext4 should never require a fsck. If
they do, it is usually a sign of corruption induced by a failing hard
drive or other computer component.
