Tweaking my boot process

Hi,
This isn't a big problem but my boot process is a bit slow. One thing
that I noticed was that there were two successive starts of the
SMB/CIFS server. I assume this is Samba. The first call is OK but the
boot process takes while for the second start, which is redundant. What
file do I have to edit to comment out the second call. Also I would
like to comment out the unnessary services such as the bluetooth server
(I don't use any bluetooth devices ???) and the Virtualbox additions and
anything related to VirtualBox.
The parts of the boot log I am talking about are as follows. If the
entire boot log is desired, I can provide it.
Starting bluetooth daemon [ OK ]
...
VirtualBox Additions disabled, not in a Virtual Machine
...
Starting SMB/CIFS File and Active Directory Server [ OK ]
Starting SMB/CIFS File and Active Directory Server [fail]
