Automount for flash drives now failing in 14.04

This is now also happening for any USB mount drive.

I recently bought a SATA to USB disk bay that allows me to plug in
SATA drives and access them via USB, and the same thing happens for
them.

I also noticed that while Thunar is running, I plugged in my flash
drive and it automounted properly.

So perhaps there is some connection.

I'll file a bug if no one has any other suggestions....
