how to use USB Tv Tuner Card in ubuntu

The devices for digital TV are at /dev/dvb/adapter*

I'm using kaffeine for TV reception - but some people don't like the KDE 
dependencies. There is also me-tv but the last time i tried it, it was 
much more complicated than kaffeine. Finally, if you want to record 
digital TV from the command line (or a script) you could use dvbstream.
