I apologise, I didn't read the OP's question properly. Please ignore my
response unless you are running a standard release version of Ubuntu...

To Abhishek: I am not familiar with the image, but if you have already
installed it somewhere, somehow, you may still be able to salvage the
situation if you can boot the same device off a LiveCD, USB stick or
similar. Then you can mount the drive that your test version is
installed on and manually set up /etc/passwd /etc/shadow and /etc/group.

Another possibility, if the image you have installed has a single-user
mode, is to boot into that - you'll get a root prompt and can set up
users from that.

But I have no idea whether those suggestions will work with your image.
They work with a lot of other systems though, so may be worth a try.
