What are the drivers for the VisionTek 7K 64MB Video Card?

This card is supported by the FOSS radeon driver without 3D acceleration (so no Unity). If you don't like the performance out of the box you need to buy a new card.

Older legacy versions of the ATI proprietary driver fglrx will not compile against the newer kernels and Xorg components found in currently supported Ubuntu releases.

Try using Xubuntu or Lubuntu for better performance.
