Different kernels on my servers?

>From your other messages I see that you have the package for this 
specific kernel but not the meta-package linux-image-generic. Therefore 
the upgrade from 12.04 to 14.04 didn't install the new kernel (3.13.0) 
and that is also the reason why you didn't receive a newer kernel even 
though 12.04 had many new kernel versions before 14.04 was released. So 
I suppose you have removed the linux-image package for some reason. 
However, like others have already suggested, you should install at least 
linux-image-generic. If you also need the header files, you'd better 
install linux-generic. Of course you could install the utopic kernel as 
an alternative.
