Print on CD/DVD with Canon iP7250

Hello to everybody,

I am a ubuntu user and bought a iP7250 recently.
Now I want to print an image on a CD: I created using Gimp an image with 
the matching size. I then printed the image (from Gimp) with all 
parameters as I guess them to be correct - nevertheless the printer does 
not print the CD correctly. The image is shifted/printed to low. The 
marking for the center in the print is about 3cm below the actual center 
of the CD.

I used the driver that is delivered with ubunntu (trusty).

Has anybody yet got it (non-) working?
With which driver?
What are the parameters to get it working?
Any further suggestions?

Maybe I can get it working with your help.
