Got a battery backup

Another smart thing you can get it to do is, if you have more than one
computer running off the same UPS, you can configure the one that has
the USB cable to the UPS to act as a master, and the others as slaves
which pick up the state of the UPS from the master.

Now that you think you have it working properly, it would probably be a
good time to pull the plug and make sure that the computer shuts itself
down before the battery is empty. If the computer you are working with
is a server, like mine is, you really need it to boot itself again when
power returns. The motherboard in mine has a BIOS option that tells it
to do this. I have seen mine work in this way when the 11kV line to my
area was severed, so I KNOW that even if I'm away, a power cut at home
will only cause temporary loss of service.
