difficulties with pulse

When I connect my bluetooth earbud I have to enter sudo pactl load-module
module-bluetooth-discover then select A2dp in Blueman, then open PAVU and
select A2dp.  There is a bug in Ubuntu 14 which has been reported.

After I shut the device off I have trouble getting pulse to recognize any
other device I attach and sometimes it will not recognize the internal
speaker.


Pulseaudio -k does not restart pulseaudio.  The only effective choice is to
reboot.

Does anyone have any suggestions?
