So, Larry, were you an artillery man in the army or something? We can
hear you, really, no need to shout.

So, in regards to your problem, what kind of mouse is it? How does it
connect to your computer? If you open a terminal, and type 'tail -f
/var/log/messages' do you see anything on the screen when you unplug
the mouse and plug it back in? If so, what does it say?
