FTPS GUI client for Ubuntu?

It would - were it not that FileZilla devs seem to be refusing to accept
that forcing the use of MLSD is a bad idea. It's a bad idea because if
the other end doesn't support it you are screwed. The FTP server I need
to talk to doesn't support it properly, and instead of using tried and
true methods, as least as an option, the FileZilla devs just say it's
not their problem. Google "FTPS MLSD"...

It connects OK, but as soon as FileZilla goes to get a directory listing
from the server it stops, the command times out after twenty seconds,
and that's it. 

FileZilla is great as long as the remote server supports MLSD, but for
those who must access sites that don't support MLSD properly or at all,
it's another case where developer mindset gets in the way of usefulness.
FTP is an ancient protocol; the venerable LIST command should have
remained available to those FileZilla users who needed it.
