That is the problem, yes. I can get to it via VNC or something, but I
don't understand why ssh isn't working.

That is EXACTLY what I want - except for the "inside the LAN" bit. Leave
that bit out. One of TeamViewer's strengths is that it gets around NAT
(by having a rendezvous server, which is why it's insecure). VNC
doesn't, otherwise I would just VNC directly to all the hosts I need
access to. I want the TeamViewer client on my local LAN for that reason,
but from there I can get to any TeamViewer host.
