I don't wish to repeat your rants, but here are some truths:

1) I don't know of any modern OS that doesn't have some exploit or other. 

2) The user is often the weakest link in computer security. 

3) You're safest when you shut down the computer, or when you disconnect
from the internet.

4) If you have drawn the attention of your government, you might want to
rethink your life.  


There may be hardened distros. You should research.
