If you've made no changes, it's possible your equipment is failing. To check
if the hard drive is failing, boot the computer with the Desktop version of
Ubuntu (can be any version like 14.04 or higher) and use the gnome disk
utility to read the SMART information.
If the 'Value' column for any the following says anything other than '0
sectors' you have a problem:
Reallocated Sector Count
Current Pending Sector Count
Uncorrectable Sector Count
Reallocation Count
G-sense Error Rate
