hplip install errors

A couple of weeks ago I bought an HP MFP M127fw printer.  All the basics 
seem to work fine but I noticed that it does not offer 2-sided printing, 
while my ancient HP 6P does. I tried to fix this by updating to the 
latest hplip driver but still do not have a option for 2-sided printing. 
  There were some errors reported during the installation process and I 
am hoping fixing these errors will enable 2-sided printing. I have 
included the problematic portions of the install log below.

I don't have a lot of experience installing outside of the package 
manager so I'm not sure how to correct this.  Googling for cups-ddk 
finds cupsddk (note: no - in the name).  Synaptic has cupddk so is this 
what the intaller is looking for and if it is how do I get it to accept it?
