PulseAudio and USB sound.

If the 'menu thingy' you mean is pulseaudio volume control, I've referred
to that already. And I'm not connecting to a speaker, but to a USB DAC.
Pulse seems to want to use s/pdif. I want to use USB.  How does your menu
describe the connection you are using exactly?
