Wireless not working after I got a new technicolor thomson 799 v2 gateway router

I am using ubuntu 12.04 and HP pavilion dv9000 laptop

I have been using a Thomson tg 784 gateway router and network-manager for 
over 4 years

Wired and wireless worked well

Then I switched from 2 to >12 Mb/s broadband from same provider.

I got a new technicolor Thomson 799 v2 gateway router.

Now I have a fast broadband but no wireless.

I have a new Toshiba Satellite C870-147 laptop with ubuntu 12.04 which 
shows same problem

When I try wicd I also only have wired connection on both computers.
