I have yet to find a website that will not work for Linux.
There is a ton of software that I used to use in Windows that will not
work on Linux.
However I have found (even better) Linux replacements for everything I
used to use in Windows.
For me, I would gladly give up ANY Windows only software/website just to
get rid of the Microsoft junk off of my computer and use Linux. No
matter how badly I needed it.
It's more than just a convenience issue. I have a personal problem with
the way Microsoft does business. They take advantage of people while
trying to corner the market with their shabby software.
I install Linux on every single computer I can get my hands on. I have
found that a lot of people don't even realize that they do have a choice
and that there is actually other operating systems they could be using.
They just assume that if you have a computer you have to have Microsoft
windows, anti virus programs, registry cleaners, defragmenters, anti
malware programs, etc..
Microsoft must have paid someone a lot of money to have their garbage
installed on nearly every computer sold.
I think this is what Linux should be putting on their website for new
people interested in downloading/installing Linux.
