Sorry, I had intended to only respond to having both the 64bit and 386
versions installed:

ii  liblcms1:amd64
1.19.dfsg-1.2ubuntu5                                amd64        Little
CMS color management library
ii  liblcms1:i386

and got a bit carried away.

Regarding the PPA: works for me, but not sure if that will fix Joep's
problem or not. Worth a try though & if it doesn't work for him then
it's simple enough to use ppa-purge to clean it out.
