We know that you can do it on a connection by connection basis, the
whole point of this thread is how to specify it globally so that when
you connect to a new wifi network in a hotel or whatever that there is
no need to manually set up DNS for the new connection. My point was
that this would be a useful extension to Network Manager. In fact it
could almost be considered a security bug since allowing the use of
unknown DN Servers leaves one open to spoofing.
