You can use the Edit->Preferences, Security Tab to selectively enable/disable 
password saving on a site/domain basis.  You can also delete saved passwords 
and optionally set a master password.  There is also a plugin for the Lastpass 
service (a free service that lets you store passwords in the 'cloud' with a 
master password).
