Strange email

Greetings;

I wrote a script several years ago to automate the spamassassin bayes
training. It has worked flawlessly for all that time, being run by cron
in the middle of the night, to learn both ham and spam.

It is a bash script, called sa-train-bayes, and lives in ~/bin

I do not recall anything in the perl room being updated in yonks.
So when I get up this morning, I have this msg from cron:

Argument "perl_version" isn't numeric in numeric ge (>=) at (eval 510)
line 1.
Argument "perl_version" isn't numeric in numeric ge (>=) at (eval 994)
line 1.
Learned tokens from 0 message(s) (0 message(s) examined)
Argument "perl_version" isn't numeric in numeric ge (>=) at (eval 510)
line 1.
Argument "perl_version" isn't numeric in numeric ge (>=) at (eval 994)
line 1.
Learned tokens from 78 message(s) (78 message(s) examined)

It comes as a complete, and puzzling surprise to, as the only sw installed
in the last 24 hours was a newer copy of mailfilter. 0.8.3, where the
longtime version was 0.8.2. Both written in C++.

And it appears to have worked nominally despite this msg being sent to me.
Normally this email contains only the two "Learned" lines.

Does anyone have a clue to share? ldconfig related, says me, wildly
stabbing about in the dark. If I get another such in the morning again,
I'll try that.

Thank you.

Cheers, Gene Heskett
