Virtual Machine will work *really* well for this scenario.  I don't know 
how recent your version of Quicken is, but if it's as old as I'm 
assuming, you can load Win xp or win 2000 on a VM with 500MB of Ram, and 
it should work just fine.... I would say, even better than trying to get 
windows installed on bare metal.
