I will be honest as a kubuntu desktop user, I will be honest I never turned
to the in built help as it usually pointed to online help anyway. I just
skip wasting time wiht the in built help and go directly and google what I
am having a problem with.

I use the man pages a lot.
While Google can be of generic help for basic computer users, for me
it's a massive problem sooo locked down that it is virtually impossible
to get wide ranging, differing results.
If I search some issue like a code problem or a particular set of images
for example a number of times and none of the results are of use then
any time I try to research the subject matter again google throws up
those same useless pages over and over. It's for me inescapable.
filtering seems to filter on previous search results.
I and my daughters who research quite a lot will never use google becaue
of it's jailhouse results, personally prefer duck duck go or ixquick or
some other lesser search engine.
To respond to the above, Most of what I seek help on reverts back to the
web anyway.
