Tried running
  sudo scanimage --test

scanimage: rounded value of br-x from 297 to 296.973
scanimage: rounded value of br-y from 420 to 419.962
scanimage: sane_start: Invalid argument

Any ideas? I tried removing all the brother packages and
scanner drivers and starting over but no change. I can start
Xsane, try to scan click okay on error message than can scan
with out a problem until I close Xsane. The machine it is
replacing still works so if anyone has any ideas of
configuration files I might try copying to the new machine I
could try that.
