Errors for users copying my ubuntu 12.04 LibreOffice3 files from my website to their MS Word

Same old arrogant attitude. If the ratified ISO standard file format
doesn't work, it's got to be the file at fault not the lousy software.

Yes. Add a link to your web site to download Libre Office. It's been the
accepted practice for many years to link to the Adobe pdf reader so
linking to a properly working free office suite should present no
problems.
