This is a howto for a standalone samba server but the OP has an NT4
domain samba server. (Great howto by the way.)

To the OP: 14.04 has the new "/usr/sbin/samba" executable that allows
samba to act as an NT5 AD domain but it also has "/usr/sbin/smbd" to
act as an NT4 domain.

Is your problem that your samba3 config isn't working with samba4
(unlikely unless I've misunderstood you and you're using "security =
share" which AFAIK has been deep-sixed)?

Or is it that you're having problems setting up samba4 with ldap and
kerberos, etc.
