Xorg crashes my system all the time now since its last update

I see Xorg crashing with some regularity under Lubuntu 14.04 running in 
a VMWare Player virtual machine.  As I recall, it commonly occurs during 
boot, and is likewise a seg fault.  It does not take the whole 
environment down with it.

Since I haven't seen the same behavior on real hardware, but only in 
this VM I use for testing, I have not tried to troubleshoot it.
