I have seen something similar when I run out of disk space on my root
partition.
The reason I ran out of space was that I had 6GB of kern.log because of the
problem with the drm.

drm:radeon_crtc_page_flip], flip-ioctl() cur_fbo

being spewed litterally million of times.

I am still having the drm crtc_page_flip problem but I have cleared extra
space on the drive so it does not run out unexpectedly.

So far I cannot find anyone who will admit that the drm crtc_page_flip is an
actual bug.

https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1171400

was just allowed to expire.

and

https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1145303

the guy just switched the video card to avoid what I think may be a driver
problem.

I will try to remember to update if I find anything useful.

Good luck.
