I see this as a problem of the email client, both the sending and receiving
client.

An email client if sending should wrap (optional to a given value) all lines at
some given line lingth, mine is set to 80 characters. This should wrap all
lines including the sig.

An email client if receiving should wrap (optional on or off) all lines to fit
in the window.

So I have wrap set so received email wraps so I do not have to scroll. Sending
my client wraps lines at 80 characters.

I do not have problems because my email client has options that make sense.
