tar error unrecoverable?

bzip2recover gives:
bzip2recover: I/O error reading `1t0zip.tar.bz2', possible reason
follows. bzip2recover: Input/output error
bzip2recover: warning: output file(s) may be incomplete.

Nothing is a search was relevant to my situation so far.
