Ubuntu 12.04 / can't mount Sansa e280 Rockbox player

yes it works fine on my laptop which is also running 12.04

i am using the latest release (3.13) and it doesn't have USB options
like that anymore

what i was able to find was that it was caused by lazy flip-flops.
removing the system power for a few minutes to allow the flip-flops to
reset seemed to work for several others, and in my case it also worked.
 although it sounds fishy to me... i guess it could be a combination of
the age of the Sansa and my particular motherboard...
